All volunteers within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati must complete:
  • A background check
  • SafeParish training
Please allow at least three weeks for processing before your intended volunteer date.

About the PTO
The St. Susanna PTO supports the educational, spiritual, and social environment of Saint Susanna Parish School through volunteerism, fundraising, school events, and teacher support.
The PTO helps coordinate many of the activities and traditions that make St. Susanna such a special community for students and families.

Helpful FYIs for New Families
Titan Fridays
The Last Friday of the Month is Titan Friday at St. Susanna! Students are encouraged to show their school spirit by wearing St. Susanna spirit wear with approved out-of-uniform bottoms. Spirit wear can include PTO spirit wear shirts, hoodies, and other approved Titan apparel.

Be sure to check school guidelines for specific dress code expectations.

Homeroom Message Boards
Each classroom has a Homeroom Message Board within Membership Toolkit where Room Parents and teachers may share reminders, volunteer opportunities, party information, and classroom updates.

Parents are encouraged to check message boards regularly throughout the school year.
Morning Drop-Off Tips
Morning drop-off moves quickly, especially during the first few weeks of school. A few helpful reminders:
  • Have backpacks, lunches, and goodbyes ready before reaching the drop-off area.
  • Students should exit on the sidewalk side of the vehicle only.
  • Pull forward as far as possible before stopping.
  • If traffic becomes uneven, staff may direct families to alternate lines to help keep traffic moving.
  • Please remain patient during the first few weeks — traffic flow improves quickly once routines are established.
Families new to car rider procedures are encouraged to review the school traffic maps and practice the route before the first day of school if possible.

Afternoon Pick-Up Tips
Afternoon pick-up can feel overwhelming at first, but it becomes much easier after the first few days.
Helpful reminders:
  • Follow the designated traffic flow at all times.
  • Students will remain supervised until dismissal procedures are complete.
  • Be patient during the first weeks of school and during bad weather days when traffic may take longer than usual.
  • For safety reasons, students should only enter vehicles when directed and in approved pick-up areas.
  • Dogs are not permitted during dismissal.
  • Parents picking up students should follow all directions from school staff and volunteers helping with traffic flow.
